Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring safe handling and compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other freight types along designated routes, maintaining punctual delivery schedules
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklift or other equipment when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness before each trip
- Manage route driving responsibilities, including planning optimal paths for timely deliveries
- Load and secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit, especially when handling roll-off trucks or dump trucks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road

Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record
- Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks in various conditions
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and specialized equipment such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks
- Delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving
- Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate tools like forklifts when required
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling
